WolfLife Campus Ministry Building

WolfLife Campus Ministry Building

WolfLife Campus Ministry is a “ministry of ASU students for ASU students.” WolfLife is a ministry of the Southwest Church of Christ and sponsored by several local Churches of Christ, Arkansas State University ministry Alumni, and Friends. The ministry wanted a facility that had a “welcoming feel.” The goal was to design spaces in a way that minimizes the perception of administration and promotes student interaction. We were able to accomplish these goals by placing student activities areas adjacent to a wide porch that creates excellent views of the nearby campus, allows participants to move back-and-forth from interior to exterior space, and are visible to student passers-by. Administrative spaces are discretely located towards the back of the facility and allow monitoring of entrances, exits, and student areas. The facility’s design is a modern bungalow with a lodge feel. The style assists the administration in maintaining a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that is non-threatening to interested and prospective student participants.
