Jonesboro High School Gymnasium Addition and Renovation

Jonesboro High School Gymnasium Addition and Renovation

This new 15,000 square foot facility is connected to the front of the school's existing gymnasium and replaces a smaller 8,000 square foot facility of similar use. The school district, to make the best use of available funding, preserved the gymnasium, giving it a few upgrades, such as a new roof and improved fire alarm system, and focused most of the funding toward the new facility. The facility's larger, improved spaces better support gymnasium functions with classrooms, coaches' offices, physical training, locker rooms and showers, equipment storage, a multipurpose room, and more extensive front entry. The improved lobby contains a ticket booth, larger bathrooms, concessions, and trophy display areas.
